Cherries: Winding-up petition dismissed
THE winding-up petition issued against AFC Bournemouth Limited by HM Revenue and Customs was dismissed in the High Court today.[LNB] A court spokesman confirmed the outcome, which had been expected after the club last week paid around £350,000 to the tax man, who had been petitioning for arrears of £314,000.[LNB] Cherries' payment to the revenue last week also prompted the Football League to relax the club's long-running transfer embargo.[LNB]
