Cherries look set to miss out on the signing of Ben Williamson.[LNB] The rookie striker spent the final five months of last season at Dean Court after joining the club from the Glenn Hoddle Academy.[LNB] He was last month offered a new contract by Cherries as boss Lee Bradbury was keen to retain his services.[LNB] But Bradbury confirmed that the Londoner was set to join Port Vale.[LNB] Bradbury told the Daily Echo: It is a shame because he is a good player and I think he has a lot of potential.[LNB] But I couldn't guarantee him first-team football with the quality of strikers we've got in the squad.[LNB] I couldn't promise that he'd be playing every week and I think he will be doing that at Port Vale, so that was an attraction for him.[LNB] FOR THE LATEST CHERRIES TRANSFER NEWS, SEE TOMORROW'S DAILY ECHO.[LNB]
