Cherries: We've learned and will kick-on says Coops

SHAUN Cooper insisted Cherries would learn from another unwanted case of late drama and admitted: We can't make the same mistakes again.[LNB] Cherries looked set for a hard-fought and deserved victory over promotion rivals Huddersfield Town after Michael Symes headed them in front on Saturday.[LNB] But for the second consecutive home game, Lee Bradbury's men saw their one-goal advantage agonisingly disappear in the closing moments.[LNB] Terriers substitute Danny Cadamarteri denied the hosts, firing home a low shot in the 89th minute to mirror the late antics of Leyton Orient on February 5.[LNB] Conceding late in games has proved a problem for Cherries throughout their impressive campaign and this latest example prevented them from going level on 56 points with long-time leaders Brighton.[LNB] Cooper, an assured performer at centre-half against Huddersfield, told the Echo: It has happened a few times.[LNB] We couldn't do anything about the Leyton Orient goal. I believed it was lucky, although some people said he meant it.[LNB] On Saturday, in the build-up to the goal more than anything, there were a few incidents quite a while before the actual goal happened that were avoidable because we have looked back and seen it.[LNB] But as a collective, we have got to spot these things and we can't make the same mistakes again.[LNB] It is a lesson learned. We have learned from the ones we have made in the past and we will learn from this and kick on.[LNB] Each time you concede a goal you learn from it, but the late ones we have conceded have been highlighted because they have cost us points.[LNB] I thought the lads were brilliant and it was unfortunate we didn't get the three points.[LNB] Cooper says Cherries cannot afford to dwell on the setback as they prepare for the visit of another of the third tier's big guns, Sheffield Wednesday, tomorrow night.[LNB] He believes Bradbury's side can taste success if they produce similar performances to the one they turned in on Saturday.[LNB] The 27-year-old, who last week penned a contract until summer 2013, added: We worked hard throughout the team, put them under pressure and were definitely the better team some of their players even said that to Fletch (Steve Fletcher) as he came off the pitch.[LNB] We deserved to win but we didn't. It is frustrating and it is two points dropped, but there is nothing we can do about it now.[LNB] We have got to move on to the next game and if we play like that until the end of the season, we'll be all right.[LNB]
