Cherries striking worry

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is facing up to the prospect of having just one fit striker available for his team's trip to Charlton. The Cherries travel to the Londoners following their promotion from League Two with their attacking ranks seriously depleted by injury. Summer recruit Michael Symes (groin) is struggling to be fit, while veteran Steve Fletcher and Steve Lovell will both be missing. Fletcher is out for a month, while Lovell suffered a relapse on his recovery from a long-standing ankle problem, ruling him out for two months. That means Brett Pitman is likely to play as a lone front man but Howe may draft in 16-year-old apprentice Jayden Stockley. Midfielders Marc Pugh and Harry Arter are both vying to make their debuts in midfield.
