Cherries: Smith mulling over new Spurs deal

POTENTIAL Cherries transfer target Adam Smith has admitted he faces a big decision over his future after receiving contract offers this summer.[LNB] The Tottenham Hotspur right-back starred for Cherries during a loan spell at Dean Court last term.[LNB] Cherries boss Lee Bradbury has been told by chairman Eddie Mitchell that funds are likely to be available to boost his squad ahead of next term.[LNB] Bradbury has made signing a central midfielder to replace Danny Hollands a priority, but assistant manager Steve Fletcher revealed earlier this month that Smith was among the club's other potential close-season recruits.[LNB] However, the 20-year-old, who is likely to command either a nominal fee or compensation should he decide to leave Spurs, is still pondering his next move after being offered a new deal by the top-flight outfit.[LNB] In an interview with skysports.com, he said: Spurs have offered me a new contract but I'm not sure whether I want to stay there or not because I want to be playing regular first-team football and reserve football is not really going to cut it.[LNB] Going out on loan again is an option for me but I've had offers from other teams about making a permanent switch, so I've got a big decision to make between now and the start of pre-season.[LNB] I could stay at Tottenham and go out on loan again or sign somewhere else and compete for a first-team place there.[LNB] If I stay at Tottenham, it is going to be difficult to break into the first team because of all the full-backs they've got ahead of me in the pecking order, but it is a tough decision as I've been at the club for so long.[LNB]
