Cherries sale negotiations stall

Baker said he had hoped to make a joint statement with the new owners on Thursday but that they had failed to meet a deadline for their decision on whether to invest in the club. An initial agreement was reached with Adam Murry for the purchase of 50% of Baker's shareholding in January but a number of proposed deals between the parties have broken down in recent months. "The ball is now very firmly in the Murry Group's court and I really hope they have not been wasting mine and the club's time over the past four months," Baker's statement read. "In the interim, I hope to appoint new directors to the board of AFC Bournemouth to oversee the running of the club until new owners who can bring stability to AFC Bournemouth can be secured. "I can also confirm that wage payments for the month of March for all staff and players have been paid, except for Jimmy Quinn and Ted Sutton who will be paid at the earliest opportunity, which could be next week."
