ENERGETIC ever-present Anton Robinson has promised Cherries fans he is striving for further improvements as the midfield dynamo shows few signs of tiring.[LNB] Robinson has been one of the club's triumphs this season, producing a string of composed displays to secure a place at the heart of Eddie Howe's first-choice midfield.[LNB] The 23-year-old, signed from Dorset neighbours Weymouth in January, is fast making a reputation for himself as one of Cherries' most dependable performers.[LNB] A model on consistency, he also offers versatility to Howe's small squad, having played at right-back when required.[LNB] And after a series of hard-working displays, fans will be hoping he can last the pace as Cherries continue to chase promotion from League Two.[LNB] Robinson, speaking ahead of tomorrow's Dean Court clash against play-off hopefuls Shrewsbury Town, told the Echo: I've played every game and every player would say they want to do that, so I'm pleased to be part of that.[LNB] I've been pleased with my performances and feel I've been quite consistent.[LNB] I've been working on my game with the gaffer and Jason and hopefully I'll be popping up with more goals and that will improve me much more.[LNB] Boss Howe recently described Robinson as a real team player, adding that the dedicated professional was a man he could rely on.[LNB] Asked about the secret to his success with Cherries, the midfielder points to plenty of hard graft as one of the keys to his fine displays.[LNB] He added: I think you've got to always prepare well and train well. The lads train as they play and training is just as competitive as matches sometimes.[LNB] Being at a good club, everyone has got the right training mentality a winning mentality and it all helps.[LNB] I'm trying to improve myself and I feel like it's paying off.[LNB] Robinson has started all 24 of Cherries' matches this season, with experienced left-back Warren Cummings the only other player to do the same.[LNB] Brett Pitman, Shwan Jalal and Liam Feeney have been in Howe's XI for the 19 League Two games so far.[LNB] ¢ JASON Pearce is the latest player to scoop a prize as Cherries' award-winning season continues.[LNB] The tough defender, dubbed The Terminator for his no-nonsense style, has been named League Two PFA fans' player of the month.[LNB] Alongside Ryan Garry, the former Pompey trainee has formed an excellent central defensive partnership this term.[LNB] Top scorer Brett Pitman bagged the award for August/September, while the forward also claimed the official player of the month gong for September. He has been nominated for that honour again this time around.[LNB]
