Cherries: Rich pickings for Darryl at Brunton Park

LUCKY charm Darryl Flahavan is tomorrow hoping to add another chapter to his Brunton Park memoirs.[LNB] Flahavan, who made his Football League debut at Carlisle in 2000, has tasted a hat-trick of 2-1 wins at the venue on his past three visits.[LNB] The goalkeeper played his part in helping Oldham to victory over the Cumbrians in April 2010 and was also successful with Southend in April 2008 and March 2004.[LNB] He also kept a clean sheet for Southend during a 0-0 draw at Brunton Park in March 2002 after conceding three times as the Shrimpers suffered a 3-1 defeat on his debut almost 11 years ago.[LNB] It has been a good venue for me over the years so, hopefully, we can go there and get a positive result, said Flahavan.[LNB] The 32-year-old has experienced mixed fortunes since boss Lee Bradbury chose him ahead of Shwan Jalal as Cherries' number one. Asked for his thoughts on the start to the new season, Flahavan replied: It has been a bit up and down but we have got to take the positives.[LNB] It didn't happen for us against Stevenage but, prior to that, we had two good results. We have got to put Stevenage behind us and concentrate on Carlisle.[LNB] We have had new players coming in and it takes time to gel. But we don't want to use that as an excuse because you don't really get time to gel these days. If we can replicate the performances from the two wins, I think we will be okay.[LNB]
