CHERRIES chairman Eddie Mitchell has confirmed Brett Pitman has failed to agree a move to Blackpool - although the Echo understands the Seasiders could look to resurrect the deal.[LNB] The Cherries striker flew to the North West yesterday after the two clubs settled on a fee.[LNB] But after undergoing a medical and holding talks, Pitman did not reach agreement with the Premier League club.[LNB] Mitchell revealed the striker was set to link up with Eddie Howe's side this afternoon ahead of the Tranmere Rovers game tomorrow.[LNB] Meanwhile, sources close to the Daily Echo suggest Blackpool could still look to revive the transfer, with boss Ian Holloway clearly a big fan of the prolific frontman.[LNB] Discussing Pitman yesterday, Holloway said: "I will pleased if it gets done and I think Brett epitomises us a bunch of people who want to make a name for ourselves.[LNB] "I think Brett is fresh and hungry, and wants a chance at a higher level. I believe he can score at any level and I want to give him that opportunity. He plays with style, is a great finisher and has a great technique."[LNB] More on this story as it develops.[LNB]
