Cherries: Pitman and Pearce up for award

STAR Cherries pair Jason Pearce and Brett Pitman have been nominated for the League Two Professional Footballers' Association Fans' Player of the Year award.

The club's captain and inspirational centre-half is up for the gong alongside Cherries' top scorer Pitman, who took his tally for the season to 25 with a double against Hereford last night.

Pearce and Pitman will go head-to-head with fellow shortlisted players Calvin Zola (Crewe Alexandra), Chris O'Grady (Rochdale), Michael Symes (Accrington Stanley) and Kasper Schmeichel (Notts County).
