Cherries owner keen on Howe stay

The duo have led the Cherries to Football League safety since taking over from Jimmy Quinn, despite the club starting the season on minus 17 points.[LNB]And Baker told the Bournemouth Echo: "I'm ecstatic and hugely pleased for Eddie, Jason and the players. We've had a tough season and what they've achieved is the greatest of great escapes.[LNB]"I have already sat down with Eddie and Jason and told them I was in a position to offer them new contracts.[LNB]"They were of the opinion that the new owners might want to come in and change the manager. I told them I didn't think any new owner was going to come into this football club and want to change the manager after seeing what they have achieved.[LNB]"We've spoken about it and had tentative talks.
