Cherries: Old heads will be key factor

13 April 2010 07:00
WISE head Lee Bradbury is vowing to draw on his vast experience in a bid to help Cherries plot a smooth route over the promotion line.[LNB] The veteran campaigner made a rapid recovery from an ankle injury to play 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat at Lincoln City and he is again set to feature against Hereford United at Dean Court tonight (7.45pm).[LNB] After results in League Two went their way at the weekend, Cherries will be bidding to extend their healthy six-point lead over the promotion-chasing play-off pack.[LNB] But although the end is in sight, 34-year-old Bradbury is not taking anything for granted.[LNB] Along with fellow senior players such as Steve Fletcher and Sammy Igoe, the former Portsmouth and Manchester City man is planning to help guide Cherries through the crucial final stages.[LNB] He told the Echo: A lot of the lads wouldn't have been in these sort of situations before and we have.[LNB] All we can do is try to keep them calm and try to do what we do in every match and concentrate on it, game by game.[LNB] The main thing is not getting too excited until we are promoted and then hopefully we can have a party.[LNB]
