MARK Molesley has revealed there were uncertain times during his painstaking fitness bid that plunged him into the last-chance saloon.[LNB] The popular midfielder put behind him almost 17 months of injury heartache by coming off the bench in the 3-0 win over Oldham Athletic on Saturday.[LNB] Comeback man Molesley received a warm reception from the Dean Court faithful, who had not seen him in first-team action since he featured against Grimsby Town on October 24, 2009.[LNB] Persistent problems with his left foot kept Molesley on the sidelines and prevented him from building on his impressive start to Cherries' promotion campaign last term.[LNB] The fit-again Londoner is determined to make up for lost time after admitting it had been a long road back.[LNB] Discussing his return, Molesley told the Echo: I had a bit of a down time in the game for a while and to come back to that ovation was very special.[LNB] There have been a lot of twists and turns in my comeback and, at some stages, it looked like I might never get that chance to come back on the pitch.[LNB] Various surgeons said if things didn't work out, then that would be it. A couple of times it didn't work out and it was literally last-chance saloon. There were a few hairy moments.[LNB] Molesley is keen to get in on the action as Lee Bradbury's side continue their pursuit of promotion to the Championship.[LNB] The former non-league star has a battle on his hands to force his way into Cherries' in-form team, but he is keen to get involved during the run-in.[LNB] He said: I thought I had quite a good start last season. I played 10 league games and we won nine of them.[LNB] I thought football was finally starting to come good for me and then the rug got pulled from under my feet. I'm hoping I can recreate that but at the end of the season and try to get involved in some of the glory.[LNB] I've got confidence in myself and I definitely feel I can bring something to the team.[LNB] Molesley was last month handed a new Dean Court contract, tying him to the club until 2013.[LNB] He added: That little bit of pressure has been taken off me and I can start concentrating on and enjoying the football without that added bit of pressure. Hopefully, that will help my performances.[LNB]
