Cherries: Mixed feelings for on-loan Arter
HARRY Arter insists he is ready to return to Cherries' promotion battle even though he will have a foot in both camps for their next assignment.[LNB] Arter is midway through a month's loan with Carlisle and sits out Cherries' clash against the Cumbrians tomorrow as part of the deal that took him to Brunton Park.[LNB] The 21-year-old midfielder has experienced mixed fortunes during his brief spell away from Dean Court but maintains his secondment has been a worthwhile exercise.[LNB] He scored his first career goal during a dramatic 4-3 defeat at Brighton and made his first start in Carlisle's 6-0 drubbing at Peterborough six days ago.[LNB] Arter was back training with Cherries yesterday and has decided not to be in attendance when his parent club locks horns with Greg Abbott's Blues in the north west.[LNB] Not being there will make it a whole lot easier, Arter told the Daily Echo. It would have been very awkward for me. I am part of the Bournemouth team and want to see them do well, while Carlisle showed faith by taking me on loan. It was a bonus for a League One team to come in for me.[LNB] It has been up and down so far. There was the high of scoring after coming off the bench at Brighton and then the low when they went straight down the other end and got the winner. I played quite well at Peterborough but we lost 6-0. Although it has been mixed, I have definitely got a lot out of it.[LNB] I feel a lot sharper and have worked hard in training. I feel I could give a better account of myself than maybe I did a couple of weeks ago.[LNB] Hopefully, Bradders will want me back at the end of the month and tell me there is more of a chance for me. I feel I am more than ready to come in and do a job. I want to help us get over the finishing line.[LNB] Arter, who is likely to watch brother-in-law Scott Parker playing for West Ham against Spurs tomorrow, is anticipating a close encounter at Brunton Park even though he was reluctant to provide a score prediction.[LNB] The teams are similar in many ways, said Arter. Both rely heavily on team ethic.[LNB] It has always been strong at Bournemouth and I have noticed it at Carlisle as well. Both teams are well organised and I can't see there being too many goals scored. Carlisle will be on their guard after what happened at Peterborough and were very resolute during the midweek draw with Plymouth. I can see one goal in it, but I'm not saying which way![LNB] Arter's first month expires at the end of March and he could return to Dean Court in time for Cherries' Sky Sports-televised clash at Peterbo-rough on April 1.[LNB]
