Cherries: Mitchell offers supporters free trip to Meadow Lane
GENEROUS Dean Court chairman Eddie Mitchell is offering supporters FREE coach travel to Cherries' rearranged FA Cup clash at Notts County.[LNB] Mitchell has made the gesture after numerous fans were left frustrated following the late postponement of Saturday's second round tie at Meadow Lane.[LNB] Supporters purchasing a ticket for the rescheduled match a week tomorrow, together with those that headed north at the weekend, will be entitled to take advantage of the offer.[LNB] Mitchell told the Daily Echo: It was a long way to go to have to just turn around and come straight back. We saw a few of our supporters walking back to their cars and it was very disappointing to have the game called off so late in the day.[LNB] We want to progress in this competition and we want as many supporters as possible to make the return trip. It is clear both the club and the team will benefit from this. Those that travelled deserve a free return trip and we would like to extend this to other supporters as well.[LNB] Mitchell added: It was the correct decision to postpone the game, even though it was made so late in the day. I was very disappointed for our loyal supporters.[LNB]
