LEVEL-headed Josh McQuoid admits he has yet to master the art of centre-forward play but the rising star is vowing to keep learning about what he now sees as his best position.[LNB] The homegrown prospect has forced his way into Eddie Howe's first-choice XI with a string of eye-catching displays following the departure of Brett Pitman.[LNB] Hitting the net against Tranmere, Notts County, Huddersfield and Dagenham and Redbridge propelled McQuoid to the top of the League One goalscoring charts. Having been used as a winger for much of his time in the senior set-up, McQuoid believes he could now best suited to a central attacking role.[LNB] And the Northern Ireland under-21 frontman, who is set |to feature for Cherries in |today's Sky televised clash at Brighton (12.15pm), is determined to continue his steep improvement.[LNB] Speaking ahead of the trip to Withdean, he said: I think I'm learning the position every time I play up there.[LNB] I enjoy it and I think that's going to be my main position, which is a good thing because I can play on the wing as well if I'm needed to.[LNB] I think I'm best suited there (centre forward). I enjoy it, I'm learning it very quickly and I understand it quite well.[LNB] When asked if he felt he had perfected the role, grounded McQuoid replied: No, you never really do until you reach the top level.[LNB] I've got a lot to learn and I'll just keep on learning. I'm not there yet.[LNB] You take in everything you can in training, in games, ask the gaffer and ask other players, so I'm just always trying to learn.[LNB] McQuoid's immediate aims are to maintain his performance levels and find the net regularly.[LNB] I haven't scored for three or four games now but I'm not too worried about that, but it would be nice to start scoring again soon, he said.[LNB] I played a lot of games without scoring so I don't let it affect me. I'll just do what I can to help the team play well.[LNB] Discussing today's match, he added: It should be a great game it's good for the lads to be on TV.[LNB] I think there's no pressure going into it. We're just going to play our usual game.[LNB] It's going to be a hard game because they're top of the league and doing well but, then again, we're doing well.[LNB] People didn't expect us to do what we have done so far, so we're just going to carry on trying to surprise people.[LNB]
