Cherries: Jalal to miss cup clash
Cherries goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has been ruled out of today's FA Cup showdown with Notts County.[LNB] The in-form stopper twisted his left ankle in training on Thursday and had been receiving intensive treatment in a bid to feature in the Dean Court clash.[LNB] But he dealt a blow to Cherries after failing to recover in time after boss Eddie Howe gave the key player until the last minute to prove his fitness.[LNB] Rookie Dan Thomas replaces Jalal for just his second senior appearance, having made his debut at Northampton in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy earlier this season.[LNB] Thomas, 18, was also a slight injury worry after suffering a back spasm in Thursday's training session.[LNB]
