DANNY Ings headed through the Seward Stadium exit and then thanked Cherries' management duo for putting him on track for the Championship.[LNB] Ings was speaking last night after completing his big-money move to Burnley.[LNB] The teenage striker linked up with former boss Eddie Howe after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms on a deal that is expected to rise to around £1million - a Cherries club record fee.[LNB] Ings, who is only in his second season as a professional, credited manager Lee Bradbury and his assistant Steve Fletcher with helping him on his rapid rise.[LNB] He told the Daily Echo: "Bournemouth gave me the chance. Bradders and Fletch did absolutely everything for me and they kept faith in me when things weren't going my way and I had a little rough patch and wasn't scoring.[LNB] "They stuck by me and helped me get through it. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for those two.[LNB] "Bradders and Fletch helped me to get where I am so I will be following the team and finding out how they do in every game."[LNB] Ings, who hit the headlines by scoring eight goals in his debut senior campaign last term, explained his reasons for making the move.[LNB] He said: "The same as any other footballer, you want to play to the highest level you can.[LNB] "When an opportunity like this comes up, it is hard to turn down.[LNB] "People would argue against it and say that it wasn't the right time but who knows It is the risk that I had to take in taking the step up.[LNB] "I think I am ready for the step up and we will just see how it goes."[LNB] Ings's exit brings to an end a long-running saga that saw him linked with a host of clubs including Liverpool, Newcastle United and Charlton Athletic.[LNB] Cherries also rejected offers from Fulham and Crystal Palace during the summer, with chairman Eddie Mitchell insisting he would become the club's first £1million player.[LNB] Asked about the transfer speculation, Ings added: "It has been really exciting for me.[LNB] "I had a good first season as a professional and when you get interest from Premier League and Championship clubs, it makes you feel good about yourself and makes you feel like you have done well for the club and yourself.[LNB] "This opportunity is massive for me."[LNB] Ings's move to Burnley sees him rejoin forces with Howe, who handed him his first pro deal and Cherries debut last season.[LNB]
