EDDIE Howe watched his Cherries team lose their unbeaten league record but then insisted its not doom and gloom.[LNB] Cherries dominated for long periods particularly in the second half as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Northampton Town this afternoon.[LNB] On another day, the men from Dorset might have enhanced their record of three consecutive League Two victories.[LNB] But they were guilty of missing good chances in front of goal and were made to pay by Northampton, who scored goals in each half through Bayo Akinfenwa and the impressive Ben Marshall.[LNB] Speaking to the media after the defeat, Howe remained upbeat.[LNB] He said: Youre going to lose games. Unless youre Arsenal you cant go through a season without losing a game.[LNB] Its now about how we respond and how we react. Its not doom and gloom. Its the end of a good run but weve got to dust ourselves off and bounce back because its a long season and theres a long way to go.[LNB] Asked about the spirit in his squad following the loss, the Cherries boss added: Theyre disappointed to lose the game, but theyre a good set of lads with a great attitude and they will be keen to put things right next week.[LNB] See the Echo website tomorrow for further reaction and on Monday for in-depth coverage of todays match.[LNB]
