CHERRIES appear to have warded off interest from Peterborough United in sought-after Dean Court management duo Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall.[LNB] The move comes after Posh director of football Barry Fry last night contacted Cherries operations director Neill Blake to request permission to speak with the pair.[LNB] Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell immediately passed on news of the approach to Howe and Tindall and asked them to meet with him first thing this morning.[LNB] And speaking exclusively to the Daily Echo within the past few minutes, Mitchell confirmed: I met with Eddie and Jason this morning after letting them know of the interest late last night.[LNB] Eddie, Jason and myself were all very flattered that somebody had taken the trouble to approach us.[LNB] But the circumstances are that Eddie and Jason are keen to see us progress and want to stick with us.[LNB] Eddie has taken the Peterborough guy's number and has contacted him to say thanks for the interest but that, at this moment in time, both he and Jason are dedicated to working with AFC Bournemouth.[LNB] I'm delighted with the news.[LNB] Peterborough's approach was made shortly after news of Darren Ferguson's departure from London Road had been announced around teatime yesterday and after the Daily Echo had contacted Mitchell to establish whether there had been any contact between the two clubs.[LNB] Howe and Tindall joined forces following Jimmy Quinn's departure on New Year's Eve and guided Cherries to safety last season after their Football League status had been under serious threat.[LNB] The revival has continued this season with Cherries currently topping League Two following a record-breaking start to the campaign.[LNB] In total, Howe and Tindall have taken charge of 40 league and cup matches, winning 24, drawing four and losing only 12.[LNB] The Daily Echo has so far been unable to contact either Howe or Tindall for reaction to this story.[LNB]
