Cherries Heading For Play-Offs

That's the view of Les Parry, manager of Tranmere Rovers, who were the latest victims of the Cherries up-turn in form.

With the Cherries extending their unbeaten run to 6 matches, Tranmere Rovers manager, Les Parry, is one of a growing band believing that AFC Bournemouth are in the perfect position to reach the end of season play-offs come May.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, the Rovers boss is quoted as saying: "I think there is only one place up for grabs because the top five appear to have it sewn up. I don’t think any of them will have a run of four or five defeats. Stevenage are there at the moment but I don’t see any reason why Bournemouth shouldn’t get sixth. There have been a few changes since we played them in October and they have got some quality players. If Lee said “you can have him, him and him”, you would bite off his hand. We wouldn’t be able to afford the wages but you would have them. They are a good side, they work hard and are well organised. I think they epitomise the manager. You can tell Lee is a hard-working manager who has surrounded himself with good staff and it is showing on the pitch. I know we had the ball most of the time in the second half and our goalkeeper didn’t touch it but they knew what they were doing. They kept their shape and limited us".
