Having stepped in as a last-minute emergency on two occasions this term, he made another surprise return to the Cherries squad for the defeat at Lincoln and could yet be required to re-enter the fray as the season reaches its final stages.
The Aussie told the Echo: It's in our hands at the moment and everyone wants to be involved at this stage of the season because there's so much to play for.
It's been a disappointing season for me, if I'm honest. The left knee went around September time and that required surgery. I came back from that and it's been great and I haven't had any problems with that.
But, and to this day I still don't know how I did it, I required surgery on my right knee. It came at a really bad time for me because it kept me out until now.
But these are the things you have to put up with as a footballer.
Asked whether he was hoping to have a crack at League One next season, should the opportunity arise, he added: Maybe. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't in the back of my mind.
But my focus has been on making sure my knee is right and getting back to full fitness.
