MARK Molesley has received a welcome boost in his fight for full fitness after being given the green light to step up his rehabilitation.[LNB] The injury-hit Cherries midfielder finally had a change of luck when he was given good news on his long-standing foot problem on Monday.[LNB] Molesley, 29, went under the knife in April in a bid to cure a persistent left-foot injury, which had sidelined him for the majority of Cherries' promotion campaign.[LNB] But Molesley has now overcome the initial hurdle blocking his route back into the first team with his surgeon granting him the go-ahead to kick on with his rehabilitation after assessing the injury earlier this week.[LNB] Although remaining cautious and admitting there is a long road ahead, Molesley has come out of the air-cast boot that has been protecting the injury. He will now begin rebuilding the strength in his leg before attempting to jog or run.[LNB] I was very relieved and also very pleased because it was the best news we could have had at this stage, Molesley told the Echo.[LNB] But also, I'm getting nowhere near carried away. We're just getting over a hurdle and there's still plenty more to get over.[LNB] I'm not getting carried away at all and I just hope that the foot stands up to those rigours now.[LNB] I had to get through this stage to start my proper rehab, so I've come through the first bit of it, which is great.[LNB] We're on track at the moment but there's still quite a way to go.[LNB] Molesley added: I've got to completely re-condition everything now because I haven't put any weight through my left foot properly for 10 weeks.[LNB] Plus, all the other problems I've had with it before and the previous operations, mean it's well behind the other leg.[LNB] I've got to do a lot of conditioning work to get that ready before I can even start jogging really.[LNB] He added: It's been a nightmare for me but I've had to try to remain positive there are a lot of people worse off than me.[LNB] As long as I've got a chance to get back out there and prove myself then that's all I want.[LNB] Meanwhile, Cherries boss Eddie Howe revealed that trialist striker Lyle Taylor, who limped off during Cherries' friendly defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, |may have tweaked ankle ligaments.[LNB] It means the frontman could be out for a couple of weeks, but Howe has not closed the door on the prospect.[LNB]
