Cherries: Garry aiming to make up for Furlong error

DEFENSIVE star Ryan Garry is relishing the prospect of another tough tussle with veteran striker Paul Furlong as he bids to erase the memory of last |season's Underhill disappointment.[LNB] Garry admitted he was at fault as he paid the ultimate price for loosening his tight grip on Furlong last time Cherries visited Barnet with the former Premier League forward netting the game's only goal back in April.[LNB] But ex-Arsenal trainee Garry is keen to atone for that when Cherries visit the Hertfordshire venue again this evening (7.45pm).[LNB] When asked about his last trip to Underhill, Garry confessed: I have bad memories because I was at fault for that goal, so I'll try to put that to bed.[LNB] They're a good team. We went there last season and dominated most of the game, but unfortunately we came away and didn't have any points.[LNB] But we'll be going there looking to stamp our authority on the game from the word go like we did on Saturday.[LNB] It will be a tough game because they are up there this year. They have got some very good players in the offensive positions, so it will be up to us to try to nullify that. Hopefully we can put our stamp on the game and come back with some points.[LNB] Garry and his defensive partner Jason Pearce kept Furlong, now 41, quiet for much of last April's clash and he admits it was a lesson learned when the vastly experienced star escaped their attentions to get on the scoresheet.[LNB] I'm looking forward to it and it's another tough challenge, added Garry.[LNB] The difficulty of tonight's clash is not lost on boss Eddie Howe, with Barnet unbeaten on home soil in nine league matches this season, having conceded just four goals.[LNB] He said: Everyone knows about the slope and the part it plays. Barnet are very good at playing there and utilise that.[LNB] But we'll go there with confidence because our away form has been very good hopefully we can keep that going.[LNB] We look a strong side at the moment and I've been really happy with the lads. I just want to try to keep the wins coming because it's an important stage of the season for us coming into Christmas and we'd like to go into it with some good form.[LNB] Pearce, who took the captain's armband against Notts County on Saturday, is set to partner Garry at the heart of the back four despite receiving three stitches to an eye wound in the FA Cup defeat.[LNB] Barnet: (from) Cole, Deen, Yakubu, Leach, J Hyde, Gillet, Bolasie, Adomah, Hughes, M Hyde, Deverdics, Jarrett, O'Flynn, Furlong, Carpenter, Butcher, Hart, Sinclair.[LNB] Cherries: (from) Thomas, Bradbury, Pearce, Garry, Cummings, Feeney, Robinson, Bartley, Igoe, Connell, Pitman, Hollands, Fletcher, Partington, McQuoid, Goulding, Jalal.[LNB]
