Cherries: Eddie's thanks to scout Taylor

CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe has offered a public vote of thanks to Des Taylor for his unstinting efforts on the scouting front.[LNB] Birmingham-based Taylor, who owns a produce business, offered his services to Howe on a voluntary basis towards the end of last season.[LNB] He has spent this season filing reports on Cherries' forthcoming opponents, a task Howe says has been invaluable to him.[LNB] Howe told the Daily Echo: I can't speak highly enough of him. Without him and his hard work, we would not have functioned so well this season.[LNB] He offered us his services free of charge and is a rare breed. People talk about unsung heroes and Des is certainly one of ours.[LNB] He has scouted for us since the start of the season, travels up and down the country and hasn't received a penny.[LNB] He introduced himself to me at a game last season and asked if he could do a report on us. He talked about our players, about how we lined up and what we had tried to do and his report was spot on.[LNB] I knew his work was good and he said that if he could do anything to help, we were to get in touch. We spoke over the summer and he has been working for us this season.[LNB]
