Cherries complete Wiggins swoop

Bournemouth have signed defender Rhoys Wiggins from Norwich for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old, who joined the Canaries in the summer of 2009, is already familiar with the League One side having spent two spells on loan at Dean Court over the past two seasons. Wiggins saw his chances limited at Carrow Road last term, with just two starts in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and a further substitute appearance in the FA Cup. Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted that we have secured the signature of Rhoys. "It's an important position to fill as left-backs are few and far between and this is an important part of the jigsaw that we have put in place. "It is full credit to (manager) Eddie Howe for persuading Rhoys to come here."
