Cherries close to takeover deal

AFC Bournemouth chief executive Alastair Saverimutto has said that the club is close to being taken over by a consortium from the Middle East.Saverimutto, along with chairman Paul Baker, helped lead the Cherries out of administration in August 2008.He told BBC Radio Solent: "I'm hoping to conclude the deal completely by the end of March."The people I'm bringing in are known to me and were looking to buy a Premier League club four or five years ago."
