Cherries have today sold Rhoys Wiggins to League One rivals Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee.[LNB] The left-back had made no secret of his desire to leave Dean Court and had looked set to join Watford after the Hornets had a bid accepted by Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell late last night.[LNB] But the Addicks, who had twice failed with offers for Wiggins earlier this summer, jumped to the front of the queue when they revived their interest.[LNB] Wiggins subsequently signed a three-year contract with Charlton to bring to an end the saga surrounding his future.[LNB] In March, he had a transfer request turned down following news that Cherries had rejected bids from Watford.[LNB] His departure follows that of captain Jason Pearce and midfielder Danny Hollands, who also moved to the Valley.[LNB] FULL STORY IN TOMORROW'S ECHO.[LNB]
