With Pitman's goals being instrumental in helping AFC Bournemouth to reach the Championship, the striker, who returned from Bristol City at Christmas, has no hesitation in believing that the Cherries can make the grade next season.
The Channel Islander is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "It is a tough league and there are some big clubs in there. The majority of the squads are full of quality players and there is a lot of experience. It is a big step but I think we have proved we will be able to compete. We play the game the right way and our style is more suited to the Championship".
