Cherries' rumoured transfer target Marc Pugh could be on his way to Dean Court according to Hereford boss Graham Turner.[LNB] The Daily Echo last week exclusively revealed that Cherries were believed to have joined the race to sign the Bulls' highly-rated goalscoring midfielder.[LNB] Pugh, who is out of contract at Edgar Street, looks certain to leave after rejecting an improved two-year deal with the club.[LNB] However, having offered him fresh terms, the League Two outfit would be entitled to a compensation fee as Pugh is under 24.[LNB] And unless a deal could be struck between Hereford and a buying club, the figure would be determined by an FA tribunal.[LNB] Cherries boss Eddie Howe has made it clear he will not be commenting on transfer speculation and has already declined to confirm or deny whether Pugh is among his targets.[LNB] But in an interview with the Hereford United official club website, Bulls manager Turner claimed he was in talks with Cherries regarding Pugh.[LNB] Turner said: It looks likely that he will finish up at Bournemouth. We are trying to resolve the situation with Bournemouth. They have made a very small offer which is far, far from acceptable. I think it's lined up for us to finish up with a tribunal.[LNB] Earlier this week, Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell told the Daily Echo that the club was awaiting Football League approval before announcing any new signings.[LNB] While the club is at liberty to discuss terms with potential new recruits, the league has the final say regarding registrations as Cherries are subject to a rolling transfer embargo until August 2011.[LNB] GATES ON THE UP[LNB] CHERRIES recorded more than one top-three finish last season with Dean Court attracting the third highest average attendance in League Two.[LNB] The average gate at the club's home was 5,719 and 9,055 fans the largest crowd of the season watched the Port Vale game.[LNB] Cherries' improved turnout is mirrored across the Football League, with 17.1 million supporters watching the 1,656 matches last term, an increase of 4.4 per cent on the previous campaign. Crowds for matches in the fourth tier averaged 3,853.[LNB] Football League chairman Greg Clarke said: Attracting more than 17 million fans into their grounds is an outstanding achievement by Football League clubs, particularly in the current economic climate.[LNB]
