FORMER Cherries favourite Marcus Browning has returned to Dean Court as a youth coach.[LNB] Browning, who made more than 200 appearances for the club between 2002 and 2007, will assist Joe Roach with Cherries' under-18s.[LNB] The 38-year-old will work with Roach's charges on a part-time basis, his appointment funded with the help of Brockenhurst College.[LNB] Midfielder Browning, however, is unlikely to be involved on matchdays as he is still turning out for Bath City in the Conference South.[LNB] Verwood-based Browning, a veteran of Cherries' 2002-03 promotion campaign, also runs his own private soccer schools.[LNB] Browning has stepped in to replace Matty Holmes who has taken up a full-time role at the club's centre of excellence as a technical skills coach.[LNB] Cherries' head of youth Roach told the Daily Echo: Matty provided a background to the lads about what is required to become a professional footballer and Marcus will do the same.[LNB] He has already struck up a good rapport with the boys.[LNB] Former Bristol Rovers and Gillingham man Browning returned to the Memorial Ground on Tuesday to assist Roach |during Cherries' FA Cup first round victory over Bristol Rovers.[LNB] Cherries have worked in partnership with Brockenhurst College for the past eight years with the club's youth players put through their advanced apprenticeship in sporting excellence.[LNB]
