Cherries: Bradders looking to learn quickly

LEE Bradbury insisted Cherries must learn from their Northampton defeat and then quickly turned his attention to a rapid return to winning ways.[LNB] The veteran utility man was one shining light as Cherries began 2010 in forgettable fashion losing 2-0 at the hands of the Cobblers at Dean Court on Saturday.[LNB] Eddie Howe's men rarely threatened and did not look like salvaging anything from the clash once the visitors had opened up an early two-goal lead through Luke Guttridge and Ryan Gilligan.[LNB] But 34-year-old Bradbury, who once again displayed his versatility by operating as a wing-back and right-sided defender during the League Two clash, is targeting a quick response.[LNB] With a trip to promotion rivals Rotherham next up for Cherries, Bradbury is keen to draw a line under the loss.[LNB] He told the Echo: It was a big chance for us to get some points on the board with Rotherham and Rochdale not playing and it was a big disappointment for us.[LNB] They scored a couple of good goals and we couldn't get back into the game. We've got to learn from it, brush ourselves off and go again because we have a big game coming up at Rotherham.[LNB] The former Manchester City and Portsmouth star has become a valuable member of Howe's squad, adapting to play in numerous roles over the past 12 months.[LNB] With Cherries' transfer embargo still in place, this is likely to be important during the second half of the campaign.[LNB] And Bradbury is keen to ensure the work done so far does not go to waste.[LNB] He said: It's not a secret two or three injuries and we're down to the bare bones.[LNB] We've done great up until now and we don't want to spoil it. We want to keep it going and make sure we go on a mini-run now to put this performance behind us.[LNB] It's gone now and we can't do anything about it. As long as we learn from it and brush ourselves off, the most important thing is a big game next Saturday.[LNB] Looking ahead to Cherries' trip to the Don Valley Stadium, Bradbury added: We've got to go for it up there.[LNB] They are going to want to beat us to get up there with us, so hopefully it's going to be a good game.[LNB]
