Cherries: Bradbury wants to be top of the Christmas tree

EXPERIENCED campaigner Lee Bradbury has described the lead up to Christmas as an important time for Cherries.[LNB] Bradbury knows Cherries' promotion credentials will face a stern examination during a hectic run of fixtures over the coming four weeks.[LNB] Starting with the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge tonight, Cherries are due to meet four of the top eight in their next five matches.[LNB] Bradbury, who has started all but one of Cherries' 17 league games this season, told the Daily Echo: The table is starting to take shape. If we could come through the next few weeks still top then it would look good for the future. It's an important time for all clubs because there are a lot of games in a short period.[LNB] The moment we take our foot off the gas, we seem to get punished. When we're on our game, I think we're the best team in the league so we've got to keep at our best all season.[LNB] On our day, we can beat any team in the league. Rochdale came here and played very well but they won't play like that every week.[LNB] We've been top or joint-top for quite a while now and if we can perform to our best week in, week out, I don't see why we shouldn't sustain it.[LNB] I knew we would be a force to be reckoned with in the league because the run we put together at the end of last season proved that. If we could keep the squad together and keep everybody fit, there is no reason why we can't stay there and do well.[LNB] Bradbury will miss tonight's clash after picking up a fifth yellow card against Macclesfield on Saturday. New disciplinary procedures, implemented at the start of this season, mean suspensions for bookings commence immediately.[LNB] The former Manchester City striker added: I've been thinking about it for the past couple of weeks and trying to get to Christmas because the four yellows would have been wiped out.[LNB] But in a way I'm glad it's happened because it's out of the way now and I can play my normal game.[LNB]
