Cherries: Bradbury has one position on his mind

BOSS Lee Bradbury presided over another impressive pre-season showing and then revealed he had all but finalised his team for Cherries' League One opener.[LNB] Bradbury admitted he was unsure about just one position after watching Cherries register a 3-1 win over Championship outfit Crystal Palace on Saturday.[LNB] And while Bradbury understandably refused to pinpoint the area still under consideration, Anton Robinson's imminent departure is likely to leave him with a dilemma in central midfield.[LNB] Bradbury confirmed Cherries had reached agreement with Huddersfield on a fee, with Robinson due to discuss personal terms and have a medial at the Galpharm later today.[LNB] With Robinson not featuring against the Eagles, both Steven Gregory and Mark Molesley started in the engine room, while Harry Arter was rested due to a tight hamstring.[LNB] I've got 10 out of 11 in my head, replied Bradbury, when asked by the Daily Echo whether his selection for the trip to Charlton had been determined. I know how we want to play and there is just one position I am not sure about yet.[LNB] There is good competition for places. The lads know they need to play well and put in good performances, otherwise they will have someone breathing down their neck. Some players are going to be disappointed and you are limited with only five substitutes.[LNB] But we need to keep everybody positive and I can't have lads being disgruntled or showing their frustrations, either publicly or to other people. I will want them to prove me wrong, get in the team and stay in it. That is the attitude they will have to have and, if I see anything different, I will come down on it.[LNB] Bradbury could be forced to do without the services of Michael Symes after he succumbed to injury just 15 minutes into the Palace clash. The striker suffered a recurrence of the groin complaint that dogged him for much of last season and is due to have a scan either today or tomorrow.[LNB] Bradbury said: It is frustrating for him because this is the third time he has had it now. Hopefully, we can get him back as soon as possible because he is a great player for us.[LNB] He played at the end of last season and has had an off-season programme to do. He has trained the majority of the time through pre-season and it is not as if he has come back too soon. He has just broken down again.[LNB] Asked whether he would delve into the transfer market should Robinson leave, Bradbury replied: If he were to go then we would replace him because it would leave us with three central midfielders.[LNB] We would look at it straightaway and, if there were someone I could bring in who would affect the squad in a positive way then I would. But I would not make any rash decisions.[LNB]
