The Cherries impressed in a 0-0 draw with Premier League Fulham on Tuesday, although Howe's main priority remains the effective management of his small squad's workload. He told the club's official website: "The boys have been training very hard and we are now intensifying the training before the season starts. It is a very important time for us without the games to get the work in. "People have to understand that with such a small squad, I can't risk getting anyone injured. "We have a hard start with the season commencing with Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday and Saturday games. That's why I'm trying to keep as many lads back as I can to protect them because I need everybody fit."
