Cherries: Boss Bradbury won't be tempted back

MANAGER Lee Bradbury says he has no immediate plans to come out of retirement to help bolster Cherries' striking options.[LNB] Bradbury decided to hang up his boots after he had been appointed to succeed Eddie Howe as Cherries' boss last month.[LNB] His 570th and final career appearance came as a half-time substitute during Howe's last game at the helm, a 2-1 defeat at Colchester.[LNB] But although Bradbury is keen to add to his striking options, the 35-year-old, who played the latter part of his career as a defender, has ruled himself out of the running.[LNB] He told the Daily Echo: Unless there were a crisis, I wouldn't come back. I have got the best interests of the team at heart and, for me to come back now after not playing for six weeks, would be difficult, especially when we have got perfectly fit players to come in.[LNB] If ever it got to the stage like last season when we only had two or three fit outfield players on the bench, I might reconsider. But that is not the case at the moment.[LNB] Meanwhile, Bradbury has granted permission for young striker Lyle Taylor to extend into a second month his loan spell with Conference South outfit Lewes.[LNB] The 20-year-old former Concord Rangers striker, who trains regularly with Cherries, netted twice during a productive first month with the Sussex outfit and could be recalled to Dean Court at 24 hours' notice.[LNB] Bradbury said: It was a big jump for Lyle from the Ryman League to the top of League One. He hasn't played many games and we needed him to get some minutes under his belt.[LNB] He will come back sharper, fitter and more confident for the experience.[LNB]
