Cherries: Boss Bradbury is up for TV test
BOSS Lee Bradbury insists Cherries are relishing the prospect of their high-profile showdown with Peterborough while Posh are out to avenge their Dean Court drubbing.[LNB] The London Road outfit were left stunned when the teams met in Dorset after Cherries dished out a 5-1 hammering.[LNB] Since that game in August, both clubs have established themselves as League One promotion contenders, with Peterborough gaining the upper hand in recent weeks by forcing their way above Cherries.[LNB] Bradbury is expecting the race for a place in the Championship to go down to the wire and admits tonight's live televised meeting (Sky Sports 2, 7.45pm kick-off) is a major match for both clubs.[LNB] The Cherries manager said: They will want to put a bit of distance between themselves and us and we want to catch them, so it is a big game and a game we are really looking forward to.[LNB] We have got to be composed and have belief in ourselves and each other, as a team, to be able to keep the ball for long periods and try to frustrate them a little bit.[LNB] But in the right areas because you do not want to lose the ball at the back when they have three or four very attack-minded players that can score goals.[LNB] Bradbury added: It's going to be a tight end to the season and I'm sure it is going to go into the last couple of games. Hopefully, we are in the mix come the end of it.[LNB] If the lads apply themselves the way they did on Saturday (against Charlton) for the rest of the season, I'm sure we will be.[LNB] Peterborough star George Boyd revealed his side's Dean Court defeat was still fresh in the memory.[LNB] He told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: Defeats like that definitely stick in the mind and we will use that to motivate ourselves tonight. It's a big enough game in its own right anyway. We have to win to put pressure on the teams around us.[LNB] But it was a bad day for us. I had a stomach-ache that day and so did several other players and we still don't know what caused it. It was a shock to play so poorly at the time because we had started the season well with two big wins.[LNB] Cherries' early season ticket renewal offer closes today.
