Cherries: Arter bench time made easy by club's position

TEAM player Harry Arter is desperate for Cherries' promotion form to continue even though he knows it could limit his game-time.[LNB] Arter, who was this month handed an extended deal until 2013, has seen his first-team opportunities limited since joining Cherries in the summer.[LNB] A signing from non-league Woking, he was one of the headline acts during Cherries' pre-season campaign.[LNB] But a combination of injuries and the good performances of his fellow midfielders have restricted the playmaker to just six starts and nine substitute appearances.[LNB] Arter, though, is happy to wait for his chance as Cherries continue their pursuit of a place in the second tier.[LNB] He told the Echo: I have had to wait patiently and it is really frustrating.[LNB] But it is not that bad when you are sitting waiting for your chance with a team second in the league. It gives you something to smile about.[LNB] If we were bottom of the league and I still wasn't getting my chance, I would start questioning myself and, maybe, if I was working hard enough.[LNB] But I'm in a team that is second in the league, so I can easily see the reason why I'm not playing.[LNB] For myself, I want to get in the team. But I don't want it to be down to a lack of form because that is not going to be the best thing for the team.[LNB] The main thing I want to do is get promoted this season. From Conference South last year to play any part in a team that gets promoted to the Championship would be a massive achievement for me.[LNB] I would love the team to get promoted and if I'm part of that by playing or sitting on the bench, I would be happy either way.[LNB] It is not an individual thing here, it is a team game. That is probably why we are doing so well.[LNB] Everyone here is united and everyone plays for each other. I will play any part Bradders or the lads need me to.[LNB] Arter added: I played before and did not look out of place. I started to get that run in the team in November and December and it was unfortunate I got an injury.[LNB] I felt I was starting to push on and still feel as confident as I did then. I'm just waiting for my chance and am pretty confident I'll grab it with both hands.[LNB]
