Even though Knockaert gave the Foxes the lead in the 3rd minute, a brace from Wickham in the 9th and 25th minutes turned the form book on its' head as the Owls held on to 3-points. The form book wasn't turned on its' head at Loftus Road as Queens Park Rangers ran up a comfortable 3-0 over AFC Bournemouth to extend the winless Cherries run to 7-matches. Goals from Austin (27th min), Hoilett (54th min) and Phillips (77th min) sealed victory. Queens Park Rangers 2nd, AFC Bournemouth 19th.
Burnley (3rd) slipped out of the automatic promotion places as they were held 0-0 by Watford (12th) at Turf Moor.
Derby County continue their rise with a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough at their iPro Stadium. Martin gave the Rams the lead on the stroke of half time. With Whitehead levelling in the 74th minute, it looked as if the game was heading for a draw until Sammon popped up with a 90th minute winner for the home side. Derby County 4th, Middlesbrough 16th.
Reading managed edge Charlton Athletic at the Madj Stad as Sharp bagged the only goal of the game in the 13th minute. Reading 5th, Charlton Athletic 21st.
Yeovil Town recorded back to back wins for the first time this season as Lundstram bagged the only goal against Blackpool at Huish Park in the 21st minute. On a bad journey south for the Tangerines, they finished with 8 men as Broadfoot, Fuller, and MacKenzie all saw red in the final few minutes. Yeovil Town 22nd, Blackpool 6th.
Leeds United managed to ease their way past Wigan Athletic at Elland Road as a McCormack brace (15th & 77th mins) proved to be enough to earn the home side the points. Leeds United 7th, Wigan Athletic 14th.
Nottingham Forest and Millwall had to be content with a share of the spoils at The Den sharing 4-goals between them. A Morison strike for the Lions was cancelled out by Reid in the 37th minute. Then a Woolford strike in the 56th minute for the Lions was cancelled out by a Chalobah strike for Forest in the 66th minute. Millwall 20th, Nottingham Forest 8th.
Ipswich Town made light work of Blackburn Rovers as the Tractorboys ran out 3-1 winners at Portman Road. Hyam got the home side off the mark in the 4th minute, with Rhodes levelling for Rovers on the half hour. Strikes from Edwards (48th min) and Nouble (86th min) sealed the points for the Suffolk side. Ipswich Town 9th, Blackburn Rovers 13th.
Huddersfield Town dented the recent progress made by Bolton Wanderers as the Terriers secured a 1-0 win over the Trotters courtesy of a Norwood strike in the 71st minute. Bolton Wanderers 18th, Huddersfield Town 10th.
The bottom-3 completed a remarkable treble as Barnsley recorded an unlikely win over Brighton & Hove Albion at The Amex. Goals from McCourt (35th min) and Mellis (50th min) only drew a response from Upson in the 63rd minute. Brighton & Hove Albion 11th, Barnsley 24th.
