Camp Impressed With Cherries

Loan keeper, Lee Camp, has been impressed with the Cherries since he came to Dean Court.

The Cherries style of play has impressed West Brom loanee, Lee Camp, since he signed for the Cherries just over a week ago.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Camp is quoted as saying: "I like the way they play and it is very positive. I have been involved with teams who have tried to play this way before and it is fair to say this is the best one I have walked into playing like this. There is a good understanding of the way to do it and of how to move the ball. If you are going to play possession football, like the manager encourages, you need movement and you need people to be brave and to take responsibility on the ball. Everyone in the team wants the ball and, to play that way, everybody has to be brave enough to take it. You could see from the performance, certainly with the way we started, that everybody does that".

On stepping in to the squad with little opportunity to get to know his team mates, Camp went on to say: "It is always a bit difficult when you get thrown in because you are still trying to find your feet and the boys are trying to find theirs with you. You are trying to build relationships and partnerships. I don’t think anybody could fault the way the team played. From my point of view, it was a pleasure to watch. If they play with that endeavour, they will win more games than they will lose".
