Bradbury hails Cherries' commitment

Bournemouth's caretaker manager Lee Bradbury praised the "effort and commitment" of his side after his first game in temporary charge ended in a 0-0 draw at Rochdale. Both teams had numerous chances in the match but Dale goalkeeper Josh Lillis and Cherries counterpart Shwan Jalal were the outstanding performers on the night. Asked how his first game as a manager, following Eddie Howe's departure to Burnley, had gone, Bradbury said: "It was hard work! If I'd had a heart-rate monitor on it would have been up and down. "But I really enjoyed it and have to thank the lads for putting in the effort and commitment. It felt a little bit strange to be in the dugout, but it's something I want to get used to and I enjoyed the pressure. "It's been a mentally and physically draining week for us, but I thought we could have won it. The lads were first class because this is a difficult place to come to on a Tuesday night, but they went out and won the battle and created three or four good chances to score. "Some teams come here and roll over, but it speaks volumes that their man of the match was the goalkeeper."
