Arter in line for start

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is expected to call on Harry Arter to replace injured midfielder Shaun MacDonald against Yeovil.

Arter came on for MacDonald when he ruptured ankle ligaments in the victory over Colchester, having missed the previous two matches through injury and suspension, and is likely to deputise on Boxing Day.

Richard Hughes is back in training after suffering a hamstring injury back in October but remains a doubt.

The midfielder was left out of the squad for the Saturday's match against Crewe, which was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch, but could return in time to play some part on Wednesday.

Miles Addison is definitely out with an ankle injury but Shwan Jalal is back in contention again after recovering from a thigh strain.

Fellow goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan remains on the sidelines as does Stephen Purches while Charlie Sheringham continues to make progress.

Yeovil manager Gary Johnson will welcome on-loan defender Dan Burn back from suspension.

Burn, on loan from Fulham, missed Saturday's 4-1 win over Oldham after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Walsall.

But Johnson will be without midfielder Korey Smith who has returned to parent club Norwich. The Glovers are currently in talks with the Premier League outfit about bringing Smith back to the club but the move would not take place in time for the Boxing Day clash.

Full-back Joe Edwards, who has been with the club since September from Bristol City, has returned to his parent club after playing the final game of his loan spell on Saturday.

Johnson will assess midfielder Sam Foley after he limped off after 27 minutes during the 4-1 victory.
