Daniels worry for Cherries

Bournemouth left-back Charlie Daniels is a doubt for their clash with Wigan.

The 26-year-old has a foot injury which forced him off last Saturday and leaves his participation against the Latics in doubt but manager Eddie Howe hopes that two of his regulars could return as the Cherries look to bounce back from the 6-1 loss to Watford.

Captain Tommy Elphick and Mohamed Coulibaly could hand Howe an injury boost while injured attackers Matt Ritchie and Josh McQuoid are getting nearer to full fitness but this match looks to have come too soon.

Bournemouth's loss to the Hornets was their first defeat since March 9.

Wigan are hopeful of having wide man Jean Beausejour available.

The former Birmingham winger missed the Community Shield defeat to Manchester United on Sunday with a thigh strain but scored twice in Chile's 6-0 win over Iraq on Wednesday night.

Boss Owen Coyle has no other injury concerns but will assess those returning from international duty on Thursday and Friday.

James McCarthy played 90 minutes for the Republic of Ireland in a game in which new signing James McClean also featured, while Scotland winger Shaun Maloney was taken off after 86 minutes against England.
