Henderson set for Cherries debut

Bournemouth will hand new loanee Stephen Henderson a debut when they welcome Millwall.

The 25-year-old Irishman joined from West Ham on Thursday after Eddie Howe's first and second choice goalkeepers were ruled out. Ryan Allsop will serve a suspension for red card in the defeat at Leeds on Tuesday night while his replacement Darryl Flahavan saved a penalty with his first touch before picking up a thigh problem.

And while Henderson looks set to line up against the Lions fellow goalkeeper Shwan Jalal will be on the bench after the club recalled him from his loan spell at Oxford this week.

Jack Collison looks set for his home bow after he and Henderson became the latest players to make the loan move between West Ham and Bournemouth, following in the footsteps of the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Jermain Defoe.

Millwall striker Scott McDonald is a doubt ahead of the trip.

McDonald is still struggling with the knee injury which forced him to miss Tuesday night's 4-0 defeat at Birmingham and the Lions are likely to give him the international break to fully recover.

Defender Mark Beevers also misses out with a knee problem.

Boss Steve Lomas may make changes following their midweek setback with left-back Shane Lowry pushing for a start after he returned from suspension on the bench at St Andrew's.
