Rantie worry for Cherries

Bournemouth's medical team will assess Tokelo Rantie ahead of their clash with Huddersfield.

The South African striker was left out of the squad that drew 2-2 with Derby on Tuesday night having suffered a shoulder problem and the club are now trying to establish the extent of the injury.

Eddie Howe could name an unchanged line-up as he looks to keep his side's fine home form going. The Cherries have lost just one Championship match on home soil since defeat to Leeds back in September.

If the former Burnley boss decides to freshen things up after their midweek exertions then the likes of Brett Pitman, Shaun MacDonald and Ryan Fraser will hope to be handed starts.

Huddersfield will be buoyed by the likely return of striker Nahki Wells to the starting line-up following suspension.

Wells sat out midweek's heavy home defeat to Wolves after he was sent off in the recent win at Millwall and Ishmael Miller could make way, with the Bermudan expected to resume his partnership with James Vaughan.

Midfielder Jonathan Hogg is hoping to return to contention after missing the last four games due to a thigh injury and manager Chris Powell has no new selection issues.

But goalkeeper Joe Murphy (foot) and centre-half Joel Lynch (groin) both remain sidelined as Huddersfield chase a third straight league win on the road.
