Howe planning changes

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will rotate his squad for the FA Cup third-round tie with Burton.

The former Burnley boss has revealed that first-team regulars Matt Ritchie, Elliott Ward and Andrew Surman are likely to enjoy a weekend off against the Brewers.

Ritchie is feeling the effects of a heavy pitch against Brighton having barely missed a minute since returning from injury while Ward and Surman have not been training between matches.

Loanees Lee Camp and Nico Yennaris will not feature after leaving the club on Thursday following the conclusion of their loan spells but the likes of Ian Harte, Tukelo Rantie and Ryan Fraser are pushing to start.

Burton boss Gary Rowett will freshen up his team.

Rowett made only one change to the four starting line-ups he named over the festive period, bringing in Alex MacDonald for Chris Hussey against Newport last Sunday.

Midfielder Lee Bell is fit again after a hamstring injury and has been on the bench recently while striker Rene Howe will be fresh for the third round tie against the Cherries after starting among the substitutes for the last four matches.

Midfielder Hussey, defenders Zander Diamond and Marcus Holness and forward Dominic Knowles also provide options for Rowett.
