Ward blow for Cherries

Bournemouth defender Elliott Ward will miss Bournemouth's clash with Burnley.

Ward's knee swelled up after colliding with an advertising hoarding during the Cherries' 1-0 loss to Leicester. He missed the 2-2 draw with Bolton and will now visit a consultant and undergo tests to discover the extent of the problem.

Bournemouth, who will be reunited with former strikers Danny Ings and Sam Vokes as well as ex-boss Eddie Howe on Saturday, are likely to include Harry Arter in their starting line-up again after the midfielder shrugged off an ankle injury during the warm-up to play a key role against the Trotters.

Left-back Charlie Daniels will miss out once more through injury but winger Mohamed Coulibaly could be involved having played for an hour in a reserve-team clash in midweek while new signing Adam Smith and midfielders Shaun MacDonald and Ryan Fraser also chalked up some valuable game time.

Sean Dyche could name the same Burnley starting XI for the fifth successive game.

The medical team at Turf Moor came in for praise this week from Dyche for keeping the Clarets, currently second in the table and on an eight-game unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship, in excellent condition throughout this campaign.

Burnley's only absentee will be midfielder Brian Stock, who has a minor back complaint which the club are monitoring, although the 32-year-old has played just once since early December anyway due to Dyche's settled XI.

Dyche is likely to stick with a strike-force of Ings and Vokes, who took their tally for the season to 40 goals following the latter's winner against Bolton on Tuesday night.
