Cherries to test Fraser

Bournemouth will hand Ryan Fraser a late fitness test ahead of the home clash with Blackburn.

The Scot pulled out just before the 3-3 draw at Middlesbrough with a hamstring problem and will be assessed. Donal McDermott took his place on the bench at The Riverside and may do the same again if Fraser fails to prove his fitness.

This match comes too soon for Harry Arter despite the midfielder moving a step closer to a return but Matt Ritchie is still being treated for a problem that has sidelined the former Swindon winger since pre-season.

Brett Pitman looks set to start up front once more as he closes in on more of the Cherries' goalscoring records.

Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer should have an unchanged squad.

Rovers have been carrying numerous injuries for several weeks now and although none of those players will be back this weekend, Bowyer is hopeful it will not be too much longer before his options are boosted.

The long-serving David Dunn (knee) and striker DJ Campbell (ankle) are very close to comebacks but midfielder Ruben Rochina (shoulder) is still some way away.

Dickson Etuhu is back training this week after a knee injury which has kept him sidelined for the entire season while goalkeeper Paul Robinson (back) and full-back Adam Henley (concussion) are making good progress.
