Hollands fires Cherries Danny Hollands hit Bournemouth's winner deep into the second half to check a gallant Swindon rally and nudge the Cherries to within one point of leaders Brighton in a 3-2 victory. Hollands scored 17 minutes from the end to kill off Swindon, who had twice clawed back from behind. Liam Feeney fired Bournemouth into an eighth minute lead with a speculative 25-yarder, which caught defender Scott Cuthbert's foot and looped over goalkeeper Phil Smith and into the net. Bournemouth squandered a hatful of chances before Paul Caddis scored an out-of-the-blue equaliser, but six minutes later Bournemouth restored their lead. Smith spilled a Michael Symes header onto the waiting foot of Danny Ings, who celebrated his first league goal. Swindon, full of uncertainty before the break, equalised again in the 58th minute as one-time Cherries trialist Matt Ritchie scored after Shwan Jalal fumbled a Thomas Dossevi header. But Swindon's fightback was shattered when Hollands hit Bournemouth's winner, scoring from a rebound after his initial shot hit the underside of the bar. Swindon complained that referee Iain Williamson had obstructed their defenders during the melee and, during the touchline protests that followed, assistant manager Peter Shirtliff was sent to the stand.
