Birmingham City Reaction - Cherries I

16 December 2013 19:50
Here's the post match reaction from the Cherries camp after their home defeat at the weekend.

Speaking on BBC Radio Solent after the match, manager Eddie Howe was quoted as saying: "I don’t know what to say really. It’s a really tough one to take because we have dominated the game. We made it difficult for ourselves by conceding so early in the game, to give the away side a lift and something to cling on to. We have dominated the game, dominated chances and dominated every possible statistic except the one that really matters. The goalkeeper has had a very good day, he has made some good saves for them. We have knocked on the door, we felt one goal was all we really needed to turn momentum in our favour, it just wasn’t to be. The crowd I thought today were excellent for us. We are very appreciative of their support and the way they backed the players right until the end of the game, so there is no way that (lack of noise) can be used as an excuse. We enjoy playing here, I know the players enjoy playing here too, so I just think we are going through one of those spells".
